New Shan State Music Info (and an error I fixed)
As of now: I'm in intense recovery mode regarding my TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) circumstance (which happened 3 ½ years ago, due to a car crash incident), so here is me stumbling my way again to show what I have:
So I had (recently) decided to browse through some of the saved PDF books from a website (what appears to be intentionally redirected by the Burmese govt, so I had intuitively decided to save the PDS of the books that were crucial for me, just in case… and it turned out to be the case, of it the website apparently essentially removed) called khamkhoo.com (apparently incorrect pages), created by, who appears to be by Nang Kham Khoo, who also created this fantastic YouTube channel, which was one of the inspirations for me finding a lot of legendary rock/pop Shan songs (that stem from, what the locals call "Underground Radio", during the 1960's - as far as I know).
And, here's a PDF (by Amporn Jarattikorn) of a book that helped me find some of the political Shan lyrics from back in the '60s, '70s, '80s.
So here are a few:
A song written by Sai Kham Liek (first apparently recorded by Sai Hsai Mao, but that one was recorded on the New Brother label from northern Thailand, but was originally recorded on the local "underground radio", but I have no samples currently) called:
"Lik Hom Mai Panglong" (The Promises of Panglong):
[full tape with this rendition of this song] which was recorded by the Thai company New Brother, butthe particular song was originally recorded before sometime during the '60s "underground" radio time (which I don't have that rendition, so), where Sai Hsai Mao got imprisoned and tortured (who was isolated under the ground, as far as I know, from what was told to me), for literally two years, because Sai Hsai Mao didn't want to say who wrote the song (Sai Kham Liek)… That's as far as I know (but at least from what I know - who eventually promised to never played this song again, and finally got released, from prison… and then, subsequently; went to northern Thailand and got drafted by the New Brother Thai label, and actually recorded this song, as well as many other political songs, and smuggled the New Brother tape recordings over the border, etc., and many more). Here's another song, also written by Sai Kham Liek (I don't know if I have the recordings of it, or not), called:
"Fai Poon Lap Sing Long Nai" (On the Other Side of Darkness):
And also, I went for a walk and listened to some of my pcloud uploads... and it looks like I put in the "wrong" speed by mistake on this one (from years before). And now it's "fixed": Khun Thar Doon - Vol. 3.
Let's call it a... TBI glitch there, yeah? 🤭
(and here's an "extra song" by Khun Thar Doon 🤫)
AND ONE MORE THING!! 😱
Blogspot has never given me any notifications on my computer/phone about any comments on my blog… (and I don't even know how to bring up).
So, if I didn't respond to any questions on any posts: well, this is kind of the answer. 👏
